The best performance I ever had was with either the Lawn Boy oil in the metal can or the 2-cycle oil made by Lubegard, which is what I'm using at this time. B. Pretty much anything else beyond a 2-stroke is a 4 stroke engine. 30 weight automotive oil is 4-stroke, as is alot of other oils.
