Boucher often took inspiration from Peter Paul Rubens and Antoine Watteau. WebFrance has produced some of the world’s finest painters such as Eugène Carrière, Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, and Jean Bardin. Eugene in particular was famous for his self-portrait and the masterpiece ‘Woman leaning on a table’. Many of these paintings are displayed at various museums and art galleries.
